CAE inaugurates its new test field - the only in Italy of its kind

Our aim is to strengthen our role as a centre of technological excellence. This is why we inaugurated the new company test field, which is the only in Italy of its kind: approximately 400 square metres adjacent to the company headquarter, set for the installation of 25 poles which have already been wired and powered. Thanks to it we will be able to conduct tests and experiments to ensure an always higher quality and reliability for our products.
Municipality of Cesenatico: a bright example of flood risk prevention and communication to citizens

We have had the pleasure to talk to Matteo Gozzoli, mayor of Cesenatico, a municipality of the Riviera of Romagna, Italy, affected by the risk of sea storms and flooding caused by temporary rises in sea level. The local Administration has consistently invested for years to create a prepared and resilient community. The first automatic early warning system dates back to the end of 2000, but today the municipality can count on a series of integrated and advanced solutions in order to limit the effects of flooding, make the right choices and alert the population on time.
CAE goes to the second edition of COWM aiming at a more active generation of citizens

The second edition of the Citizen Observatories for Natural Hazards and Water Management (COWM 2018) has just taken place in Venice. Guido Bernardi from CAE presented his intervention entitled: “Flash-floods, landslides and urban inundations: integration of Large Scale Monitoring Networks and Local Early Warning Systems”.
Region of Emilia-Romagna: the monitoring network reduces by half the cycle time for the acquisition of hydropluviometric data

CAE has won the tender of the Servizio Idro-Meteo-Clima (Hydro-Meteorological and Climate Service) of ARPAE for the adaptation of the real-time hydro-meteorological and climate monitoring networks connected to the "RIRER" (Rete Idrometeorologica della Regione Emilia-Romagna - Hydro-Meteorological Network of the Region of Emilia Romagna). The works will allow us to reduce by a half the current cycle time and to have a centralized management of all the networks connected to the control centre in Bologna, as well as to enhance the secondary centres of the system.
Amsterdam: CAE has presented its PG4i, the new stand alone rain gauge

The real-time operation of PG4i was shown during the trade fair event: PG4i is the new CAE stand-alone rain gauge with built-in datalogger and integrated 3G mobile modem. This is an all-in-one professional system for measuring rainfall and its intensity.
Vietnam: real-time river discharge measurements and new monitoring stations to prevent and manage floods

Once again, Italian technology has been chosen to implement a World Bank project in Vietnam. The public call for tenders was directed to local firms only and the works were let out on contract to a historical partner of our Bolognese firm. The works include the supplying and installation of 14 new stations equipped with automatic hydrometers and rain gauges, remote connected to the Nha Trang Regional Centre.

Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta: CAE systems are the most "open"

CAE wins the tender announced by the Autonomous Region for the opening of the current regional hydrographic meteo-hydrographic network, today composed of four sub-networks supplied by different producers. With regard to the specific aspect of technological openness, CAE's offer was strongly rewarded compared to those of competing companies.
Defence works and new real time monitoring technologies in the Parma river detention basin

Using short and medium-range wireless communication modules, CAE starts the interventions for the integration and systemisation of piezometric sensors arranged along the works of the Parma river detention basin, allowing the acquisition at the AIPo plant of Parma through the integrated monitoring network of the Po river basin.
