Serbia invests in the meteorological sector

Serbia keeps investing in the Meteorology sector and CAE responds by providing Italian state-of-the-art technology. In addition to three complete stations, also equipped with heated rain gauges that do not require to be connected to main power, CAE will supply 14 PG4i, the new stand-alone rain gauges branded CAEtech.

Underpasses at risk of flooding: Rubiera doubles prevention

In this context the Province of Reggio Emilia shows its worth and acquires a new early warning alert and monitoring system for another vehicular underpass at risk of flooding in the Municipality of Rubiera, located in via Fontana.

The Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Italy) invests on an ever faster and multi-risk infrastructure network

ARPAS (the Sardinian Regional Agency for Environmental Protection) increases its commitment to mitigate environmental risks. In 2019, works were carried out for the integration of new AIB (Forest Fire-Fighting) sensors and the supply and installation of hydrometric sensors for 16 dams. Not only this provides more precise measurements, but also more frequent: the connection times of the hydrometeorological monitoring network are halved.

Avellino’s Province is increasingly attentive to surface water pollution

The area around river Sabato is characterised by high industrial density operating in a regime of intense interchange with the fluvial basin. Avellino’s Province launched a public tender to complete and strengthen the existing monitoring and control system of surface water bodies to evaluate the quality index of waters of river Sabato in the section between Pianodardine and Altavilla Irpina. The aim is twofold: monitoring of water resources and protection and enhancement of local environment.

Georgia: tested the early warning system of Jinvali’s dam

Monitoring and early warning system of Jinvali’s dam in Georgia was tested during the second week of October. The simulation test was held, leading with alarm’s sounding system and so to all warning sirens. Engineer Alessio De Faveri, CAE’s project manager, was interviewed by Georgian National TV, while reporting on the project.

CAE and its partners bring the river Piave under control

CAE leads the group which won the tender for the project of “Environmental Regeneration of the terminal section of Piave river” managed by the Basin Authority of the Eastern Alps District. The project scope is to determine the real discharge capacity of the river and obtain the necessary information to develop a work plan. To this end, hydrometric level and discahrge measuring stations will be installed and their working will be supplemented by manual measuring campaigns.

Breakthrough in Emilia-Romagna: the regional monitoring network is now faster

Keeping Rosignano Marittimo safe: work begins on the new early warning system

On September 10, 2017 the town of Rosignano, as well as Livorno and Collesalvetti, was hit by an exceptional wave of bad weather. The Municipality of Rosignano, among the other activities undertaken for the restoration of the territory and to increase the safety of citizens, decided to install a monitoring and early warning system connected to the water level the two canals of "Fosso Cotone" and "Botro Secco". CAE was awarded the tender, and work is about to begin.
