Monitoring and early warning system of Jinvali’s dam in Georgia was tested during the second week of October. The simulation test was held, leading with alarm’s sounding system and so to all warning sirens. Engineer Alessio De Faveri, CAE’s project manager, was interviewed by Georgian National TV, while reporting on the project.

CAE leads the group which won the tender for the project of “Environmental Regeneration of the terminal section of Piave river” managed by the Basin Authority of the Eastern Alps District. The project scope is to determine the real discharge capacity of the river and obtain the necessary information to develop a work plan. To this end, hydrometric level and discahrge measuring stations will be installed and their working will be supplemented by manual measuring campaigns.

From October 16 to 18, in the context of the National Civil Protection Week, the conference "Early warning systems for debris flows: state of the art and challenges", will be held in Bolzano, organized in cooperation with the Civil Protection Agency of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.

The last phase of testing that sealed the success of the project related to the technological updating and the reduction to 15 minutes of the cycle times of the hydrometeorological network of the Emilia-Romagna Region was officially concluded.

On September 10, 2017 the town of Rosignano, as well as Livorno and Collesalvetti, was hit by an exceptional wave of bad weather. The Municipality of Rosignano, among the other activities undertaken for the restoration of the territory and to increase the safety of citizens, decided to install a monitoring and early warning system connected to the water level the two canals of "Fosso Cotone" and "Botro Secco". CAE was awarded the tender, and work is about to begin. 

In 2014, Serbia suffered a massive flood (please find a video of the affected territories at this link), which led to the implementation of the Serbia National Disaster Risk Management Program aimed at increasing resilience and preparation to floods. A critical part of this program is the strengthening of the remote hydrometric network supplied to the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia (RHMSS). In July 2019, CAE won the tender for the implementation of the new system based on redundant (mobile and UHF) communication technology.

On June 5th and 6th, about a month after the visit by Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi, the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte went on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. There, alongside other Italian excellencies, he was able to know and appreciate CAE’s meteorological monitoring station exposed at Casa Italia in Hanoi.

From the 6^th of May until the 9^th, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, has visited Vietnam and Singapore. The Minister had the opportunity to meet with the representatives of the Italian community and the companies operating locally: among them was Eng. Pedrini, vice president and founder of CAE, who was able to showcase the Minister the CAE technology displayed at “Casa Italia” in Hanoi.
