Once again the Regional Environmental Agency of Piedmont relies on CAE
February 2014
On 14th of February 2014 CAE was awarded by Regional Environmental Agency (ARPA) of Piedmont the tender for “Maintenance service on the meteorological and hydrometric stations and the related transmission network, including the supply of spare parts”.
Once again “ARPA Piedmont” relies on CAE with regard to the maintenance of its strategic real time monitoring infrastructure.
The meteorological, hydrometric and snow monitoring network owned by ARPA Piedmont is made up of 392 remote stations, 4 repeating stations, 43 radio repeaters, 2 secondary central units and one main center; the latter being operating within the Functional Center of the headquarter of ARPA, in Turin. Being so widespread throughout the whole regional area, this network is one of the largest in Italy; among its main scopes there is the real time measurement of phenomena to allow a better safeguard of population during extreme events.
Having more than 30 years of experience in the field and several success stories to demonstrate its reliability in the Region, CAE is currently the main technology supplier for this real time monitoring network.
The company represents the best partner to rely on for an effective maintenance service.
Maintenance activities offered by CAE, together with the robustness of the systems designed, produced and supplied by the company itself, bring the system to collect in real time over 99% of punctual data.
During extreme weather, when most of the failures usually concentrate, such a high percentage of data available in real time can make the difference to make the best decisions, thus actively contributing to safeguard the population.
