CAE participates in the technology fair at Poggio Baldi landslide

CAE attended the technology fair which took place on Monday, June 8 at the landslide of Poggio Baldi, an area in the province of Forlì affected by landslides in 1915 and March 2010.
During the exhibition several stations with reduced impact were set up for monitoring the slope. Major national and international experts working in the field of land protection and emergency management, together with leading companies specialized in technologies for environmental monitoring, have come together to take part in demonstrations in the field, which resulted in a true and uniqe technological fair.
CAE, which already supplies the monitoring and alerting system for the landslide of Cancia (Borca di Cadore), made available its advanced cutting-edge equipment. "In the increasingly difficult Italian environmental context, it is essential for the training of experts to combine innovation with experience" says Guido Bernardi, director of development activities of CAE, who continues: "moments of study such as the one organized in Santa Sofia are an opportunity for companies like ours to offer technological know-how and compare at the same time with the experience of the professionals involved every day in the monitoring and management of emergencies, confident that systems as the one developed in Cancia will become in Italy best practice to be exported abroad".
The event was jointly organized by NHAZCA Srl, a spin-off of the University "La Sapienza", and the National Park of Casentino Monte Falterona and Campigna Forests, with the sponsorship of the Department of Earth Sciences of "La Sapienza", the National Council of Geologists, the Order of Engineers of the province of Forlì-Cesena, the City of Santa Sofia and Romagna Waters - League of Springs.
