CAE exhibits at the World Landslide Forum in Beijing
May 2014
On June 2nd begins in Beijing the third World Landslide Forum, one of the most important events regarding the global prevention of hydrogeological risk. After the events in Tokyo in 2008 and Rome in 2011, the event this year takes place in the Chinese capital and ends on June 6.
In addition to reunite scholars, researchers and professionals from around the world, the event has become a key event for all the administrations that, among their competencies, have the prevention of hydrogeological risk and the mitigation of the effects of more extreme events. Here every three years the academic, industrial and publics worlds meet up to update each other on the new challenges that climate change and increasing human activity require, thus making the point of present and future technologies to address them.
For this reason CAE will attend the event and on this occasion will present to the international audience the Multi-Hazard Monitoring System MHas and in particular its configuration for landslides monitoring. The demo station which will be activated at the stand will be equipped with a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) especially implemented by CAE for the monitoring of these phenomena, a rain gauge for rainfall intensity and some other weather sensors. Besides practically showing these new technologies, it will be an opportunity for all the stakeholders to interact with the Company, deepening the possibilities given by the system and successful cases already realized and implemented.
