		Thanks to the cooperation between Multi-Risk Functional Centre of Calabria Region and the Shkodër Region, it was accomplished a new project to monitor in real-time rainfall and water level of Kir river.

		Civil Protection of Regione Calabria, in cooperation with the regional Multi-Risk Functional Centre, chose CAE to carry out the implementation of a landslide real-time monitoring solution. The landslide happened during February 2011 at Cirò, located within the Crotone Province.

		Thanks to the cooperation between CAE and the Italian “Air Force National Meteorological Service” a new technological challenge was undertaken at the beginning of 2011: the full upgrading and maintenance of the historical Automatic Weather Station located at the “Mount Cimone Observatory”, managed by the Mountain Department of the Italian Air Forces (CAMM).

		CAE's new headquarters is a 5000 m² building located in San Lazzaro di Savena, a real work of architecture surrounded by greenery, 16 km from Bologna centre. Here is where more than 100 professionals work on the planning, installation and maintenance of environmental monitoring systems.

		In 2002, CAE installed its automatic observation system at Capanna Margherita, 4600 m high on Mount Rosa, Region of Piedmont. This permitted the shelter, previously only destination of climbers, to become the highest meteorological observatory of Europe.

		CAE provided the Friuli Venezia-Giulia's Regional Civil Protection with a real time hydro-meteorological network, able to support their activity for the forecasting of natural meteorological disasters. The network employs telecommunications, electronic and information technologies necessary for the real time ground monitoring of hydro-meteorological phenomena.

		CAE implemented for the Region of Sardinia, in association with EAF (Ente Autonomo del Flumendosa, Independent Authority of Flumendosa River), an innovative real time quality water monitoring system, covering most of Sardinian artificial lakes. The real time knowledge of the quality of water in reservoirs, allows the selection of the best times and depth for the withdrawal of water to be sent to treatment plants for drinkable usage.
